Which Airlines Use Each JKIA Terminal?
JKIA’s Terminal 1 is one connected building with five concourses, 1A to 1E; Terminal 2 is a separate building. Kenya Airways and SkyTeam partners use 1A, other international carriers use 1B and 1C, domestic flights use 1D, and international arrivals are processed at 1E.

Terminal 2 is a separate building from Terminal 1, used for certain regional and low-cost operations. There is no airside link to Terminal 1. Confirm with your airline whether you use T1 or T2.

Departures and arrivals can differ
The concourse you depart from is not always where you arrive back. International arrivals for every carrier are handled at the 1E arrivals hall, even if that airline departs from 1A, 1B or 1C.
On departure
Go to your airline’s departure concourse: 1A for Kenya Airways and SkyTeam partners, 1B or 1C for other international carriers, and 1D for domestic flights. Check-in and bag drop are within that concourse.
On arrival
International passengers are processed at the 1E arrivals hall — immigration, baggage and customs — regardless of the departure concourse. Domestic passengers arrive at 1D. This is why the arrivals hall and your check-in concourse may be different parts of Terminal 1.
Moving between JKIA terminals
Within Terminal 1, the concourses 1A to 1E are connected and walkable; moving between Terminal 1 and the separate Terminal 2 means going landside by road, so it takes much longer.
